Our Story

Good food,
meaningful work,
and community

Cafe on the Curve was founded in 2026 by Nisha Tillas and a group of partners connected to the Kayden Cares Framework. What began as a simple question, “What if a café could give real careers to people who are too often overlooked?”, became a cloud kitchen social enterprise in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

We are delivery-only by design: every rupee earned from food orders flows back into The Blue Apron Project, our in-house training programme for neurodivergent young adults and older persons who face barriers to conventional employment.

The Blue Apron Project

Preparing neurodivergent young adults and people who face barriers to conventional work for real careers in food & beverage, one shift at a time.

A Structured Training Day

Each day starts with a briefing linked to the participant’s individual plan. Paced tasks, including food prep, beverage making, packaging, stock handling, and customer service, are supported with visual instructions and 1:1 guidance throughout.

Self-Paced, 8–12 Weeks

There’s no rigid cutoff. The programme is flexed to each participant’s pace, typically 8 to 12 weeks, with daily feedback reviews and continuous skill-building rather than a fixed graduation date.

We’re Just Getting Started

The first cohort is coming soon. We are building partnerships with special-education organisations, occupational therapists, and hospitality businesses to create real employment pathways, and we’d love you to be part of it.

Real Career Pathways

Training leads to real work: internship placements, employment referrals, and ongoing industry mentorship. The goal is a sustainable career in food & beverage, not just a certificate.
